BBQ Sauce

from Graham's kitchen

Ingredients

  • 100g Butter

  • Large Onion, diced finely

  • Bulb of Garlic, minced

  • Chilli to taste, minced

  • A few sprigs of Thyme, chopped

  • 2 cups Tomato Sauce

  • 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 cup Water

  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar

  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp Paprika

  • 1 tsp Paprika

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper


Optional

  • 4 Tbsp Molasses

  • 4 Tbsp Mustard

  • 4 tsp dried Oregano

Method

  1. Melt butter in saucepan.

  2. Add onion, garlic, chilli and thyme and sauté for 5 minutes over medium heat.

  3. Add remaining ingredients.

  4. Purée with a stick blender.

  5. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
