Chicken Liver Paté

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion

  • 1 Clove Garlic

  • 45g Butter

  • 450g Chicken Livers

  • 1 tsp dried Mixed Herbs

  • 1 Bay Leaf

  • 15ml Brandy

  • ½ tsp Sesame Seeds to garnish

Method

  1. Finely chop onion & garlic

  2. Sauté onions and garlic in half the butter until soft

  3. Add herbs and bay leaf and season with salt & pepper

  4. Add chicken liver and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes

  5. Place mixture and remaining ingredients in liquidizer and blend until smooth

  6. Place in dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds and leave in fridge to cool completely
