Hacksteak Hubertus

Ingredients

  • 400g Beef Mince

  • Crumbs from 1 stale bread roll

  • 2 Onions, chopped

  • 2 Eggs

  • Salt & Pepper


Sauce

  • 3 Onions, sliced into rings

  • 250g Mushrooms, sliced

  • 1-2 Gherkins, julienned

  • 125ml Beef Stock

  • 200g Crème Fraîche

  • 2 tsp Mustard

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Sugar

Method

  1. Mix together mince, bread crumbs, onions, eggs and some salt & pepper

  2. Make into patties

  3. Fry, remove from pan and keep warm

  4. Fry the onions until translucent

  5. Add mushrooms, stock & crème fraîche

  6. Simmer for a few minutes

  7. Add mustard and gherkins to taste

  8. Return the patties to the sauce and heat through
