Asian Pork Marinade

Our go-to quick marinade that is ideal for pork neck steaks on the braai or in a pan

Ingredients

  • Juice of a quarter Lime or Lemon

  • 2 Tbsp Light Soy

  • 2 Tbsp Dark Soy

  • 3 - 4 Tbsp Sugar

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp MSG

  • 1 - 5 Chillies, sliced

  • 2 - 4 Garlic cloves, crushed

  • 1 tsp grated Ginger

  • 0.25 tsp Chinese Five Spice

  • 1 tsp home-made Chilli Sauce (optional, but our apple chilli sauce is a great addition)

Method

  1. Mix everything together and marinade meat overnight.

  2. Braai over hot charcoal.

  3. Use the remaining marinade to baste the meat whenever you turn it.
